Who is this method for?

This method is for women who are experiencing persistent or unexplained skin changes and suspect there may be more happening beneath the surface.

Many women are:

  • Experiencing skin changes in their 30s, 40s, and beyond

  • Dealing with skin that no longer responds to products

  • Navigating hormonal shifts, chronic stress, or digestive issues

  • Noticing redness, sensitivity, dullness, breakouts, or accelerated aging

You best know your skin, as you see it every day.  If you suspect your complexion is not how it should be, then this method is for you.

What problem does the Functional Beauty Method address?

I specialize in inflammation-driven hormonal skin dysfunction.

This means I focus on skin issues that are rooted in:

  • Chronic, low-grade inflammation

  • Gut dysbiosis and impaired digestion

  • Stress-driven hormonal disruption

  • Metabolic instability affecting skin repair and resilience

Rather than chasing surface symptoms, we will explore together why the skin is reacting in the first place.

What lens do you use in your method?

I use a functional, systems-based lens that looks at how:

  • Inflammation

  • Gut health

  • Stress physiology

  • Metabolic and hormonal balance

interact — and how those interactions show up on the skin.

Skin is treated as the messenger, not a malfunction.

I don’t have acne — can this still help me?

Yes. Acne is only one possible expression of internal imbalance.

This work also supports women experiencing:

  • Redness or rosacea-like symptoms

  • Sensitivity or reactive skin

  • Dullness and loss of glow

  • Premature aging or thinning skin

  • Puffiness or fluid retention

  • Uneven tone or texture

  • Skin changes during perimenopause or menopause

If your skin feels unpredictable or out of sync with how you care for it, this approach may still be relevant.

Is this about skincare products?

No — and that’s with intent.

While topical care matters, my work focuses on internal terrain:

  • Inflammation load

  • Digestive function

  • Stress response

  • Hormonal signaling

Frustration sets in after trying numerous products with little success.  This is where my methodology steps in and we look deeper.

Do you diagnose or treat medical conditions?

Absolutely not. I stay firmly in the lane I was trained in and do not diagnose, prescribe, or treat medical conditions.

My work is educational and supportive, helping you:

  • Understand patterns in your symptoms

  • Identify lifestyle, nutritional, and stress-related contributors

  • Support the body’s natural regulatory systems

I encourage collaboration with licensed healthcare providers and your general practitioner.

What makes your approach different from traditional skin coaching?

Traditional skin coaching often focuses on what to apply.

The Functional Beauty Method focuses on why the skin is responding the way it is.

By addressing inflammation and gut-hormone balance, we often see changes that topical approaches alone cannot achieve.

Is this only for women in perimenopause or menopause?

No — but many women notice skin changes during this time because hormonal shifts can amplify inflammation and gut sensitivity.

This method is appropriate for adult women at various stages who suspect their skin concerns are hormonally or internally driven.

How do I know if inflammation is affecting my skin?

Common signs include:

  • Skin flares during stress

  • Cyclical skin changes

  • Redness or puffiness

  • Slow healing

  • Sensitivity to foods or products

  • Digestive discomfort alongside skin issues

These patterns suggest inflammation may be influencing skin health.

What is the goal of this method?

The goal is not “perfect skin.”

The goal is skin that reflects internal balance — calmer, clearer, more resilient, and better supported over time.

In short, my Functional Beauty Method™ supports women with inflammation-driven hormonal skin dysfunction by addressing internal balance, not surface symptoms.

Who this method is NOT for:

This method is not for those seeking quick fixes, prescriptions, or purely topical solutions.
The Functional Beauty Method is designed for women who are willing to explore internal contributors to skin health — including inflammation, gut balance, stress physiology, and hormonal rhythms.
If you are looking for a diagnosis, medical treatment, or immediate cosmetic results without addressing internal patterns, this approach is definitely not for you.
This process requires curiosity, patience, and a willingness to support the body as a system rather than chase symptoms.
